This screen is used to maintain name, address, phone numbers, email addresses, contacts for business customers, layaway information, customer account information, and store credits information for customers.
Both individuals and businesses are supported. For business customers, a contacts panel is provided.
To enter new customers, click "New Business" button or the "New Individual" button.
Two search fields are provided for each of the customer types. Enter search entries for either individuals or businesses, Entries in both prevents anything from being listed. The total number of records meeting the search criteria is shown at the far right of the search panel.
These fields are, for the most part, self explanatory. The internet "Url" and "Ftp" fields support links to web pages. Click the "Edit" button to enter or change the field. You must enter the entire url for it to be recognized,i.e., http://www.posbydbs.com.
This panel shows the customer's current layaway status, a tax id number, and two checkboxes. The "No Tax" checkbox if checked prevents sales tax charges to this customer. The "Has Store Account" checkbox indicates that a store account has been setup for this customer.
The "Edit Account" button is enabled when the "Has Store Account" checkbox is selected.
This screen is displayed when the "Edit Account" button is clicked. To establish an account, enter a credit limit and save. Store charges can then be applied to this customer's account.
Click the "Enter Starting Balance" button to enter an existing balance if necessary.
Charges are listed on the left, Payments on the right. The top browser lists transactions and the bottom browser lists the how paid information.
Clicking the "Store Credit" button displays this screen.
Any amount entered in the "Amount Update" field (positive or negative) updates the "Available Credit" field. If a customer has available credit, the "Store Credit" payment type can be used in the transaction screen. The "Available Credit" field is updated when "Store Credit" payment type is used, and the information in the "Credit Used" and "How Paid" browsers is saved.
Use this panel to enter and maintain contact information for business customers. It appears on the screen for business customers only.
