How to use the view transactions screen

Introduction

All transactions entered with the "Transactions" screen can be reviewed using the "View Transactions" screen. It shows all of the transaction information and supports printing of a receipt and invoice for the selected transaction.

Search Fields

The search fields provide a way to quickly locate a transaction. When this screen is opened, the search fields have default values for todays' date and the location and station that is established when a user logs into the system. Multiple search fields can be used to narrow the search. The number of items displayed is listed on the far right of the search panel.

Enter the transaction number in the "Transaction #" field to list that transaction. This is an exact match search field

The "Date" field displays all transactions for the date entered. Selecting "none" from the popup displays transaction for all dates.

The "Customer" field displays all records that begin with the characters entered.

The "Trans Type", "Location", and "Station" popups display transactions matching the selected popup item.

Browsers

The top browser displays each transaction, and the bottom browser displays line items for the transaction selected in the top browser.

Click on the column headings to sort listed items. Each click toggles between an ascending and a descending sort.

Payment Methods

All payments collected on the selected transaction are listed here.

Totals and Printer list

The totals on the right are printed in receipts and invoices. The totals on the left are primarily for information except for "Discount" which is printed on receipts and invoices.

The target printer must be selected using the "Printer List" popup. The correct printer must also be selected in the printer dialog that appears to ensure proper print parameters are set.
